Removal and Installation of Drive

axle

Start by :

a. Remove the mast.

Refer to the topic of " Mast " in this module for the

further information.

b. Remove the drive tire.

c. Drain the drive axle oil.

1. Raise the machine and put the rigid block under the

frame. To be safe.

2. Disassemble the u-joint. For the purpose of

reassembly, apply MoS2 grease on the spline.

3. Disassemble three hoses to the lube pump.

4. Disconnect the brake tube.

5. Disassemble the nuts for mounting the drive axle.

For the purpose of reassembly, the torque is 460 +/-

60 N.m (354 +/- 45 lb.ft).

6. Remove the drive axle.
