Lock Nut Installer 1

NOTE : The procedure to remove the steer wheels is

the same for the right and left steer wheel.

1. Support the steer axle with a floor jack (A).

2. Remove wheel cap (1).

3. Bend the tab in locking washer (2) clear of the slot

in nut (3).

4. Use tool (C) to remove nut (3). Remove locking

washer (2)

5. Remove bearing cone (4) from steer wheel (5).

6. Remove steer wheel (5). Steer wheel (5) weighs 34

kg (75 lb).

7. Remove seal (6) from the back of steer wheel (5).

8. Remove bearing cone (7) and the bearing cup from

the back of steer wheel (5).
